How Do I Make A Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate ?
Bonfire night is upon us. Outside it is dark, cold and very wet. Tonight we will wrap up warm and head out into the wrath of the cold weather to enjoy some fireworks. Not is all lost, however, everyone loves a delicious hot chocolate on these cold days. Spice up your hot chocolate with some Sweetbird Toasted Marshmallow syrup and have an explosively good hot chocolate to savour.
We made this delicious recipe in the kitchen and steamed the milk using the steam wand in our espresso machine. You can also use a pot on a stove or microwave to heat the milk when whipping with a hand-held frother. You could also make this recipe on a camp-fire one night ;)
Ingredients:
- Chocolate topping sauce
3 pumps (or to taste) - Amor Toasted Marshmallow syrup
2 pumps (or to taste) - Steamed milk
- Mini Marshmallows (optional)
- Whipped Cream (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine the sauce and syrup in your mug.
- Pour fresh milk into your pitcher and steam the milk.
- Top up the chocolate/syrup mixture with the steamed milk.
This went down very well in our office, and as more people appeared with a mug in hand and a grin on their faces, we ended up just adding the sauce and syrup straight into the cold milk before steaming it. This mixed the whole drink very well and we could make 1.5 Litres at a time.
PS. You can also add some whipped cream and/or mini marshmallows to the mug to make it extra yummy.
Amazing idea, nice and simple! I will definitely try it in one of the weekends before Xmas!
