Lovely Valentine’s Day Treats
Valentine’s Day is just right around the corner, the day dedicated to couples celebrating the love they have for each other with cards, flowers, chocolates and candlelit dinners. So, I got thinking of ideas that would be great for valentines day. Baking is one of the things I love to do, I love trying new flavours and experimenting with various ingredients. So I thought what better way to celebrate the day of love than eating until your heart is content.
Get stuck into Valentine’s Day with these sticky marshmallow bars
These delicious marshmallow rice crisp treats
Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Treats
Ingredients
- ¼ cup Butter
- 283g MiniMarshmallow Toppings (1kg)
- 13oz Jar Marshmallow Creme
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- ¼ tsp Salt
- 7 cups Rice Crisp Cereal
Instructions
- Line a baking pan with foil, extending the foil over the edges of the pan. Lightly butter the foil and set the pan aside.
- In a pot melt the butter over low heat. Once the butter has melted stir in marshmallows. Cook and stir until marshmallows are melted and smooth.
- Add in the marshmallow creme, vanilla, and salt and stir. Remove the pot from the heat and add cereal to the marshmallow mixture, stirring gently to coat.
- Transfer cereal mixture to the prepared baking pan. Using a buttered spatula or buttered waxed paper, press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan. Let the mixture set.
- Using a buttered long knife, cut into bars or spice it up and make love heart shapes. Using the edges of the foil, lift uncut bars out of the pan
- Decorate with toppings such as Milk Chocolate Topping Sauce and sprinkles.
- Serve.
Serves 12
Fall crazy in love this Valentine’s Day
50 Shades of Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1cl White Chocolate Sauce
- 1cl Chocolate Sauce
- 10ml Monin Chocolate Cookie Syrup
- 18cl Skimmed Milk
- Whipped Cream
- Pecan Nuts and Cookies
Instructions
- Warm up the milk in a pot, once heat up mix it with the chocolate sauce and Monin Chocolate Cookie syrup.
- Pour the White Chocolate sauce into the bottom of a cup and add some pecan nuts and cookie crumbs.
- Cover the cup side of this mix with a spoon.
- Pour in the hot chocolate mixture.
- Coat with whipped cream.
- Garnish with Poldermill Barista Chocolate Sprinkles and pecan nuts.
- Serve.
Chocolate and Raspberry Romance
Ingredients
- 30ml Milk
- 1 scoop Hot Chocolate Powder
- 2 pumps Raspberry Syrup
- Whipped Cream
- Freeze Dried Raspberries
Instructions
- Add two pumps of Raspberry syrup into a cup.
- Pour the cold milk into a milk steaming jug.
- Add one scoop of Hot Chocolate Powder to the milk.
- Steam the mixture to a silky texture.
- Add the milk mixture into the cup and stir gently.
- Top with whipped cream and freeze-dried raspberry pieces.
- Serve.
